Hey family!!!
Sorry to respond so lately today. This morning I went to The southern zone in Natal to the mission office to pick up some stuff. We ate lunch there, hung out, went to mcdonalds (ironically really really expensive). So I am just getting back to my area here in the northern zone.
Anyway, this week was hard. We as a companionship are really trying to focus on families. So we were teaching a family who are legally married (really really really hard to find. Like one in a hundred). They read the Book of Mormon and were progressing. But in their church they got basically a "calling." They quickly told us that they weren´t interested in the church anymore. We sadly had to cut them.
And we had a few baptisms marked for next week. But they didn´t come to church sadly. So they will not be baptized this week. So so sad.
One a funny note: sometimes as a missionary you kinda want a special friend. So a few weeks ago I bought a small pet fish for a dollar. With much love and care, he suffered a accident as I was washing his fish tank. This past week he died. RIP little friend.
The mission is really full of ups and downs. I feel bad for me greenie because he still hasn´t baptized anyone in the mission. 2 weeks without baptisms just stinks. I have good feelings for this week though!!
Scripture of the week: 3 Nephi 11 This is one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon. Christ visiting the Americas. One thing I would like to point out is how many times he used the word "baptism" I count 13 times. Christ had very little time to visit/teach with the people of Nephi. Why would he waste his time repeating a doctrine if it wasn´t important?

Fun Fact:
I found out that my last transfer is a 5 week transfer instead of the regular 6 week transfer. Don´t ask my why. I think its because it would fall really close to Christmas. The only other time when it was a 5 week transfer is when Pres was in São Paulo for a special Mission Pres conference with an apostle, so he wasn´t there for transfers. BUT this time I think its because of Christmas. This means the transfer is Wednesday, December 14th, meaning I will be coming home Friday, December 16th, 2016. So its good and a bad thing. Good thing because I get to see the family sooner and it won´t be as hectic around Christmas. Bad thing is because I will still be during the school right? Meaning it´ll be hectic for the family. And I am stealing a whole entire week from the Lord.
Also, I think Tara Eyre comes home on the same day. Same day, same airport. Maybe we see the Eyres there too? haha And Pres Eyre can release me right then and there hahaha
