Ola!
Another freaking fast week. I cannot believe it is Pday again. Seriously felt like yesterday.
SOOOOOOO Last Tuesday we had a ward activity. Since it was a holiday it started in the morning and ended in the afternoon. We went for a little bit, brought investigators, etc. But during the activity there was a Zumba instructer. It was pretty funny/fun to watch the whole ward dance hahaha there was a lot of sweat.....just saying.
So since there are 3 missionaries that are American, we decided to start an English class. Everyone in Brazil has a desire to learn English and they teach it at schools too. It is pretty common to do this sort of thing here. But it really is a great way to know the ward better and find new people to teach! I didn´t think it would be hard but talking in English is sometimes difficult. The structures of my sentences are funny sometimes haha (For example: the class of english and not "english class") SIlly things like that.
Lots of teaching. Lots of work to be done. But the people here are so freaking nice. They always invite us in to share a message or talk about God. The culture here is just so so COOL. We have 3 baptisms (hopefully) this Saturday and we should have more to come! We know families are essential to God´s plan so our focus is on teaching families here in our ward. It makes me so so happy doing the Lord´s work!!
I miss you all so so much! I got a little taste of home the other day--literally. A member of our ward bought Oreos online....ugh soooo sooooo sooooooooo good. Little things like that just are amazing.
Scripture of the Week: 3 Nephi 11:11-Christ is the light and life of the world!! Follow Him and you will overcome darkness. Use the Atonement and you can accomplish great things!!
Love
Hayden
Fun fact: Like I said before, EVERYONE loves America. So it really is not uncommon to walk down the street and hear Ke$ha,Kate Perry, Justin Bieber, etc. It is funny because they can´t really understand English but they still love the music!
