Oí família e amigos!
Awesome week this week! Love Cangauretama! I feel like I am in the middle of nowhere which makes it soo cool!
So there was a family night at a recent convert's house. Had a nice message, played some games and had a barbeque. Yes, there was chicken heart. I thought they were joking when they told me that but I ate it and LOVED it. I had 3 or 4 hearts that night....so good!
I think Thursday we went to an area that we had never visited. It was about an hour walking but we wanted to make new contacts. I saw monkeys for the first time here in Brazil! I know that sounds really childish of me but that was one of my goals. They were the size of squirrels but they were little monkeys! So freaking cool!
This week we had a conference in Natal with 4/8 zones. A general authority spoke to us! I feel so badly because I forgot his name. He is an area authority I think, but it was exciting to see Elders. I saw my "Dad" (my first companion who trained me--Elder Dos Santos) which was exciting. I slept in a hammock that night because we spent the night at the zone leader's house. Not the most comfortable for sleeping....
The branch is great. Lots of support--we usually have one member, almost everyday, leave with us. They love the missionaries. They are so loving and kind!
Scripture of the Week: Mosiah 16:7-8, We shall not feel the sting of death because of our Savior. In remembrence of Elder L. Tom Perry.
Love,
Hayden
Fun Fact: I know it sounds stupid to say, but the napkins here are not napkins. They are wax paper. Napkins are for cleaning/soaking up liquids if you spill, right? Wrong. Napkins here are for smearing and smudging. It's the little things that makes the difference, hahaha
