Bom dia!
Wow this week was a busy and eventful one!
Last Pday I get a call from the Assistent to the President. He told me I was going to have a son in the mission. I was going to train!! What does this mean Elder Moffat? This means you get to be the first companion of a missionary here in the field, fresh from the MTC. But Elder Moffat, what does this really mean? It means you have the opportunity to teach EVERYTHING you know in a few short weeks. Stressful? Maybe. Fun? YES
SO my filhinho (138 pounds, 4 oz) Elder Mesquita is from São Paulo. Last time he saw his family was only 20 days ago. it is so weird to think about his long and eventful journey ahead. He is a happy and excited Brazillian. Wants to work and wants to baptize, I couldn´t ask for a better son!
On my bday we went to drink some milkshakes in the center of town woo
Also, its really nice to live with 4 people in the house. Its funny because my old companion, Elder Bento, is "killing" Elder Izqueirdo (meaning he is finishing his mission here). We have one being born and dying in the same house. So that´s great hahaha
When I went to Natal to pick up my son, I saw two Americans that just arrived from the MTC. They looked sooooo lost hahahaha and all the new missionaries were dying of the heat. I just laughed inside and thought to myself just you wait.....haha
Thank you for all the birthday wishes!!! Love you guys so much!!
Scripture of the Week: 1 Cor 5:7 Our Easter, who is Christ was sacrificed for us!
Love,
Hayden
Fun Fact: This has nothing to do with Brazil or the culture BUT my companion is world wide famous. Look in the Duty to God pamphlet on page 32 (in portuguese) and there is a picture of him riding a bike!!! SO COOL
