Another week complete!
Again I had a recording but this computer is so old that I don´t think it has a USB port....my life haha
This week was full of surprises! Between going to the hospital, going to Natal again and a baptism, I would say it is pretty successful!
Firstly, going to Natal. Monday after I emailed you I got a call saying I needed to go all the way back to Natal for visa issues. My first P day on my mission and it was almost all on a bus. Luckily all the zone leaders in the mission had to go to a meeting so I was with them. But annoying because I missed my P day. I stayed in natal overnight on monday. Then monday morning I went with a secretary and another american (who had visa issues too) to the federal police station. That was crazy haha but they said I needed to have set up an meeting to get the visa issue solved. when I first arrived in brazil, the people at the airport said I needed to register at the police station 12 days after arriving. well the people at the police station said 30 days so long story short: I went all the way to Natal for nothing. So I got to spend my birthday on a bus....again for 6 hours. But I attended the zone conference meeting so that was cool. And they all sang Happy Birthday to me so it was all ok
Second, the hospital. So because I went to Natal I stayed with the zone leaders Tuesday night at their place in Mossoro because we didn´t have to to take me to my apartment. At the house, I used I really really old gross mattress to sleep on. And at their house, there was a lot A LOT of bugs and misquitos. So I woke up the next morning with tons of bites. At first they were small but as the day went on they got bigger and bigger. At night they were so big and gross that Elder Dos Santos (my companion) callled sister saores. I then went to the hospital with a member who spoke a little english. Weirdest thing....the hospital is not the cleanest or the most organized place in the world. I had to get a shot in the butt and an IV. I really hope I don´t get AIDS or something. But hey, it was airconditioned! And now I have meds. It´s all good now haha
Thirdly, baptism! Yeah! I would send you a picture but the computer is too old to do that haha she is 11 years old and Elder Dos Santos baptized her this past Sunday! Super exciting! So so happy!
Ok I don´t have much time but I love you guys and know that I am thinking about you! And sorry for the numerous spelling and puncuation errors. I am writing really fast and it takes too long to find the punctuation on the new keyboard and the computer says everything is spelled wrong because it is in English.
Have a great week and enjoy the cold cold weather for me! Oh how I miss it so much! Love you and stay classy!
Love
Hayden
Fun Fact: So I don´t know if this is a Brazillian thing or not but Reduce Reuse Recycle is not in their vocabulary. Their trash can is outside. There is so much trash everywhere. So with the poop in the streets, you have to look out for trash too because sometimes there are crazy bugs that are living in it. I have to be careful where I step! Makes walking interesting! Woo!
