Oí!!!
This week was great! First mission conference in the mission! And more teaching and baptisms!
The beginning of the week I felt a little sick, but it is normal for Americans to get sick their first transfer. I got some medicine from the store and it was all good. I am fine now! But its just hard to be sick and work because if I did need to go to the bathroom I would either have to run home (which is about 1.5 miles away) or just go in the street.....Luckily I did not have to do either of those!
But the Mission Conference was great! Since our mission is so big and spread out, there were two mission conferences. One in Natal and the other in Caicó. Our zone is closer to Caicó so we went there. It was cool to see 100 other missionaries! The only problem is that it was all in Portuguese (duh Hayden). So I got about70 percent of it. President Soares asked me to come up and teach about the Book of Mormon in front of everyone....scariest moment of my life. But somehow I was able to speak Portuguese nearly fluently for about 30 seconds! Dom de Linguas!! It was pretty cool! Took some good notes on "Authority and Power" (Helaman 5 I think...)
Had another baptism this week! Pretty cool to watch people make their first covenant!
Well that´s really the only the exciting parts that happened. I have the opportunity to go to Natal again today for my visa thing again. So that should be fun! Not.
Scripture of the Week: 2 Nephi 25:26 Christ is everything! And the gospel is important for families!
Love, Hayden
Fun Fact: It does not matter how old you car is, but Brazilians love taking the nicest speakers and putting it in their trunks. They then proceed to try to break down their cars even more by blasting their music as LOUD as they can. It is sometimes really annoying when we are having a nice spiritual moment during a lesson and all we can hear is inappropriate music haha
